Maplewood Barn Theatre is pairing its upcoming production of Little Women with a community book drive designed to help share the joy of reading with children and teens throughout the area.
Audience members attending any performance of Little Women are encouraged to bring gently used books to donate. The theater is collecting children’s books, early chapter books, and young adult titles that can be passed along to young readers in the community.
Inspired by the themes of family, education, and literature found in Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel, the book drive offers theatergoers an opportunity to give back while enjoying a classic story brought to life on stage.
Donations will be accepted throughout the entire run of Little Women, which will be performed June 18–21 and June 25–28. Every donated book helps place stories into the hands of children and teens while encouraging a lifelong love of reading.
