Put your trivia skills to the test while supporting a great cause at SHP Trivia Night on June 13. This community fundraiser benefits Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that no child has to sleep on the floor.
The evening begins with a baked potato dinner from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., featuring a loaded baked potato bar with all the toppings, including pulled pork. After dinner, trivia competition kicks off at 6:30 p.m. and runs through the evening.
Organizers are reminding attendees that the event is about more than just answering questions and having fun. Funds raised will support the Columbia chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace and help provide beds for local children through upcoming bed-building projects scheduled throughout the year.
A love offering will be collected for admission, and organizers say that 100 percent of the proceeds will stay local, directly supporting bed builds in the Columbia area through October.
Families are welcome, and childcare will be available for those who need it, making the event accessible for parents who want to participate.
