Looking for a fun outdoor activity with the kids this weekend? Dirty Hairy’s Dog Boarding and Grooming is hosting a Free Family Fishing Day on Sunday, June 14, with fishing, food trucks, vendors, face painting, and expert fishing demonstrations.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 18251 Highway 87 in Boonville and is designed for anglers of all ages and experience levels.
Visitors can enjoy:

- Fishing tips and demonstrations from local pro fishermen Scott and Tyler White
- Food trucks and refreshments

Families are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear and tackle, and participants may keep what they catch.

Please note that the lake is not fully handicap accessible. Organizers have cleared and maintained the shoreline as much as possible, but wet ground conditions may make navigation difficult for some visitors.
