If you’ve ever wanted to feel like you’re inside a real-life treasure hunt, this is about as close as it gets. 🕵️♂️
Booneanza ‘26 is back—bringing a county-wide, puzzle-based adventure across Boone County, Missouri, with a prize that’s actually worth the chase.
The hunt officially kicks off Saturday, April 25, and this year’s grand prize is a GIA-certified 2.53-carat diamond valued at $10,000, presented by Buchroeders Jewelers. 💎
Here’s how it works:
You’ll sign up individually, but you can team up with friends or family to solve a series of puzzles that take you all over Boone County. Expect riddles, codes, trivia, and a little misdirection along the way. It’s designed so anyone can play—no special skills required—but local knowledge and some good problem-solving definitely help.
The event runs over a condensed timeline, making it feel like an all-in weekend (and then some) of exploring, thinking, and chasing clues. And even if you don’t find the treasure, there’s still something in it—every team that finishes receives commemorative coins.
The entry fee supports the Boone County History & Culture Center, so it’s also a way to give back while having some fun.
If you’re looking for something different to do—part adventure, part brain teaser, part local exploration—this one’s definitely worth checking out.
