Available while supplies last, the free packets feature hands-on crafts and activities designed to spark curiosity and encourage learning beyond the classroom.
This year’s themes include:
- Missouri Owls – Discover some of the fascinating owl species that call Missouri home.
- America’s 250th Birthday – Explore the nation’s upcoming semiquincentennial through kid-friendly activities.
- Karst Topography – Learn about Missouri’s unique caves, springs, sinkholes, and underground landscapes.
Families can pick up a packet at the museum tour desk after exploring the exhibits inside the Missouri State Museum, located in the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City.
The museum offers free admission and is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., making it an easy and affordable stop for families looking for educational summer activities.
