If you’re still looking for summer camp options, Sawdust Studios has five hands-on woodworking camps coming to Columbia this summer for kids and teens ages 4–18.
Designed to help young makers build confidence while learning real woodworking skills, each camp gives participants the chance to create projects they can take home and proudly show off. No previous experience is required—just a willingness to learn and try something new.

Woodland Creatures
June 29–July 1 | Ages 4–10
Young builders will create nature-inspired woodworking projects while exploring creativity and basic tool skills.
Warrior of the Woodshop
July 13–15 | Ages 6–16
A themed camp where campers tackle exciting builds while developing woodworking techniques and problem-solving skills.
Spy Camp
July 27–29 | Ages 6–16
Secret missions, creative challenges, and hands-on projects make this one a unique adventure for curious kids.
Sawdust Essentials
August 3–5 | Ages 6–16
Perfect for beginners or those wanting to strengthen foundational woodworking skills through a variety of projects.
Master Makers
August 17–19 | Ages 10–18
An advanced camp focused on more detailed builds and skill development for older participants.
Camp tuition starts at $250, with half-day and full-day options available. Families with multiple children can also take advantage of a 25% sibling discount.
Sawdust Studios intentionally keeps class sizes small, allowing instructors to provide individualized attention and guidance throughout each project.
