Middle school students curious about science, nature, and the world around them can take part in a free Geoscience Summer Camp this June.
Designed for students entering grades 6–8, the two-day camp offers hands-on activities that introduce participants to geology, ecosystems, fossils, weather, and environmental science in an engaging and interactive setting.
Campers will have the opportunity to:
- Investigate fossils and learn how they help scientists understand Earth’s history
- Build and explore ecosystems
- Discover how weather impacts communities
- Learn about preventing and preparing for weather-related disasters
- Participate in science-based activities and experiments
- Work alongside fellow students who share an interest in STEM topics
The camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on June 16 and June 17 and is completely free to attend.
Programs like this give students a chance to explore scientific concepts beyond the classroom while developing critical thinking, observation, and problem-solving skills through hands-on learning.
For families looking for an educational summer opportunity, the Geoscience Summer Camp offers a fun way for students to discover more about the planet they live on while meeting new friends and exploring potential future interests in science.
