Trail runners looking for a serious challenge can put Rock Bridge Revenge 2.0 on their fall calendar. The Columbia-area trail race returns with a new course for 2026, taking runners through the terrain of Rock Bridge Memorial State Park.
Runners can choose between a 25K or 50K, with both distances featuring mostly single-track trails, varied terrain and creek crossings.
And if you’re planning to run, there’s an important deadline coming up: register by Sept. 20 to guarantee a race shirt and lock in the current registration price. Prices increase by $5 on Sept. 21.
A New Rock Bridge Revenge Course for 2026
The 25K course starts with one loop on the Devil’s Ice Box trails, crosses Highway 163 and continues with two loops on the High Ridge trails.
Want twice the challenge? The 50K consists of two loops of the 25K course.
Both races will use chip timing, and runners have an eight-hour time limit to complete their distance.
Rock Bridge Revenge Race Details
Race headquarters will be at the Billy Gilbert Shelter at Rock Bridge Memorial State Park, located in the upper parking lot.
50K start: 7 a.m.
25K start: 8 a.m.
25K registration: $55 plus UltraSignup fees
50K registration: $65 plus UltraSignup fees
Race limit: 175 total participants
There is no race-day registration, so runners will need to sign up in advance.
Packet pickup will be available at the Billy Gilbert Shelter from 3–6 p.m. Friday and beginning after 6 a.m. Saturday. All runners must also check in at race headquarters on race day.
Don’t Forget Your Water Bottle
One detail runners definitely don’t want to miss: Rock Bridge Revenge is a cup-free race.
Participants in both distances need to carry a water bottle, hydration pack or collapsible cup. Aid stations along the course will be stocked with water, drinks and a variety of food.
For 50K runners, a drop bag can also be left at the start/finish area and accessed before beginning the second loop.
Burritos Are Waiting at the Finish
After all those miles and creek crossings, there’s a pretty good incentive to make it back to the finish line.
Post-race lunch begins at 11 a.m. and includes Pancheros burritos for 25K and 50K participants. Runners will need their bib to receive their meal.
Cash awards will also be presented to the overall male and female winners of both the 25K and 50K.
Save Money With a Columbia Track Club Membership
Columbia Track Club members receive 15% off registration for Rock Bridge Revenge.
Membership is $20, and it comes with discounts and free entry to several other local races throughout the year, so runners who participate in multiple Columbia-area events may want to look into it.
Register Before Sept. 20
Anyone wanting a guaranteed race shirt should register no later than Sept. 20. That’s also the final day before registration prices increase another $5.
With creek crossings, single-track trails and some of Rock Bridge’s best-known terrain, Rock Bridge Revenge isn’t your typical road race — and that’s exactly the point.
