One of Mid-Missouri’s longtime fall traditions is back! The Hartsburg Pumpkin Festival returns for two full days on Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, 2026, bringing fall festivities to the small town of Hartsburg, Missouri.
The festival runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, rain or shine. What began in 1991 as a celebration of the pumpkin and the village of Hartsburg has grown into an annual tradition centered around community, family and friends.
A Mid-Missouri Pumpkin Festival Tradition
With a population of only about 120 people, Hartsburg transforms during Pumpkin Festival weekend. The community has long been known as “Missouri’s Pumpkin Patch,” thanks in part to the fertile Missouri River bottom soil that produces abundant crops.
The festival was originally created as a way to celebrate those harvests while introducing more people throughout Mid-Missouri to the village of Hartsburg.
Live Entertainment at the Main Stage
There will be entertainment throughout both days of the 2026 festival, including live music, magic and a Sunday morning church service.
