What You’ll Learn
A local visual journaling artist will guide participants through the basics of junk journaling, including:
- What junk journaling is and how to get started
- Creative page layouts
- Simple layering techniques
- Tips for creating pages that reflect your personality and memories
Each participant will receive a kraft journal to begin their collection, and plenty of shared crafting supplies will be available.
What to Bring
You’re encouraged to bring small keepsakes and paper treasures from home, such as:
- Old greeting cards
- Ticket stubs
- Receipts
- Magazine or book pages
- Postcards and maps
- Fabric scraps and ribbon
- Tags and labels
- Wrapping paper
- Photos or photocopies
- Pressed flowers or leaves
- Interesting packaging
- Anything that makes you smile or reminds you of a special moment
Together, you’ll decorate your journal cover or create an introductory page before taking home plenty of ideas to continue your journaling journey.
No artistic experience is required—just bring your creativity and enjoy an afternoon of crafting, conversation, and inspiration. If cost is the only barrier to attending, organizers encourage you to reach out, as they believe everyone deserves a seat at the table.
