The Boone County Fair Adult Arts Contest is back for 2026, and it’s open to just about every kind of creativity—from baking to crafting to visual art.
This year’s theme, “Stars, Stripes & County Fair Nights,” leans into that classic fair vibe, but entries don’t have to be complicated. Think handmade goods, baked treats, textiles, art pieces, and more—it’s a wide-open field.
Entries are due by July 20 at noon, with drop-off on July 21, and it’s just a $3 entry fee to participate.
Winners in each category will receive cash prizes and fair passes, which makes it a fun way to be part of the fair beyond just attending.
Whether you’re someone who quilts, bakes, paints, or just likes having a creative outlet, this is one of those low-pressure opportunities to put your work out there and be part of a long-standing local tradition.
