“Tuesdays on the Trail” Tram Tours for Seniors

If you’ve ever wanted to experience the Katy Trail without the long ride, this is an easy—and surprisingly relaxing—way to do it. 🚋🌿

“Tuesdays on the Trail” Tram Tours are back at Katy Trail State Park for the 2026 season, offering guided rides through some of Missouri’s most scenic stretches. Designed for seniors and accessibility, these tours let you take in the beauty and history of the trail from the comfort of a tram coach.

🗓 Tour Schedule (Select Tuesdays)
Routes run from May through October, with stops including:
• Pilot Grove to Clifton City
• Rocheport to McBaine
• St. Charles to Machens
• Augusta to Matson
• Windsor to Green Ridge
• Treloar to Peers (Country Store Corridor Tour)
• Pilot Grove to Boonville

Each date offers two tour times:
⏰ 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
⏰ 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM

🌳 What to Expect
Each tour lasts about two hours and includes an interpretive guide sharing stories about the trail’s history, local wildlife, and cultural landmarks along the way. It’s a great way to learn more about the area while enjoying the scenery at a comfortable pace.

Participants can also expect light refreshments, including snacks and bottled water, making the experience even more enjoyable.

• Tours are free, but space is limited (about 50 people per tour)
• Reservations are required and open monthly ahead of each tour date
• You can reserve through Missouri State Parks
