Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness at Truman VA

The Truman VA Medical Center in Columbia is bringing the community together for a meaningful cause with its second annual VA Strides for Strength Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and invites Veterans, families, medical center staff, and community members to walk in support of breast cancer awareness and education.

The walking route begins outside Truman VA’s main entrance and continues around the medical center campus and the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute parking garage.

Along the way, participants will find themed engagement stations offering breast cancer education, awareness giveaways, and additional activities designed to encourage conversations about breast health.

Everyone is welcome to participate, making this a great opportunity to get outside, show support, and learn more about an important health issue affecting people throughout the community.
