All ages – all the BEST things to do.

Ragtag Summer Camp 2026

Looking for a creative summer camp for middle schoolers? Ragtag Film Society is teaming up with The Conservatory at Stephens College for a weeklong summer camp focused on filmmaking, movie critique, and hands-on workshops.

Ragtag Summer Camp 2026 runs July 20–24 and gives students ages 11–14 the chance to spend five full days learning how movies are made while creating a short film of their own by the end of the week.

Campers will start each morning at Ragtag Cinema watching and discussing films geared toward their age group before heading to Stephens College in the afternoons for filmmaking workshops covering different parts of the creative process. Throughout the week, students will build skills in storytelling, filmmaking, and collaboration before screening their completed short film for family and friends on Friday.

The camp runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, with drop-off at Ragtag Cinema between 8–8:30 a.m. and pickup at Stephens College between 3–3:30 p.m.

The cost is $325 per student for the week, with additional siblings discounted to $250 each. Needs-based scholarships are also available upon request.

Participants should bring their own sack lunch each day, though popcorn and light snacks will be provided.
