Ever wanted to step into a scene from Bridgerton or a Jane Austen novel? The Mid-Missouri Traditional Dancers and MU Ballroom Club are teaming up for a special English Country Dance on Wednesday, October 28, at the University of Missouri’s Memorial Union.
The evening will feature traditional English country dances, with music provided by 32 Bartenders and John Petter calling the dances. No partner is needed, as participants will have the opportunity to dance with different partners throughout the evening. The dances will be simple, making this a welcoming event for those who want to give English country dancing a try.
Guests are encouraged to dress for the occasion! Think elegant early 1800s formalwear, a fanciful Bridgerton-inspired outfit, or even a Halloween costume that’s comfortable enough for dancing. Costumes aren’t required, though, so everyday clothing is perfectly fine.

Parking: Limited public parking is available in Lot MUVL behind Memorial Union. Additional parking options include the University Avenue Garage across the street and nearby street parking.
