Let’s Brew! Workshop by Columbia Parks and Rec

Ever wondered how beer, wine, or mead is made? Columbia Parks and Recreation is offering a hands-on opportunity for adults to learn the basics of home brewing during a special “Let’s Brew!” workshop on Saturday, June 27.

Hosted at Worts & All, this interactive class is designed for beginners and curious enthusiasts alike. Participants will learn about the brewing process, ingredients, equipment, and the differences between a variety of beer styles. The workshop will also cover other fermented beverages, including wine and mead.

During the session, attendees can expect to learn:

  • Different home brewing methods
  • The ingredients used in brewing
  • How fermentation works
  • Common beer styles and flavor profiles
  • Tips for making beer, mead, and other fermented beverages at home
  • Equipment and supplies needed to get started

The workshop takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Worts & All, 8650 N. Highway VV in Columbia.

Participants must be 21 years or older, and the registration fee is $20 per person. Pre-registration is required through the City of Columbia’s Parks and Recreation registration system.

The class is made possible in part through an in-kind donation of brewing ingredients from Worts & All, giving attendees the chance to learn from local experts in a welcoming environment.
