Explore Local Wildlife During a First Friday Bird Hike at 3M Wetlands

Grab your binoculars and start your morning outdoors with fellow bird lovers during Columbia Audubon Society’s First Friday Bird Hike.

This beginner-friendly bird walk takes participants through the scenic 3M Wetlands area, a lush natural habitat known for attracting a variety of Missouri bird species. Whether you’re an experienced birder or simply curious about local wildlife, everyone is welcome to join.

The group will meet at Songbird Station at 8 a.m. before taking a short drive to the trailhead near the wetlands. Participants will enjoy a leisurely walk along approximately 1.75 miles of level gravel trail while searching for seasonal birds and learning from fellow enthusiasts.

The hike is expected to conclude around 11 a.m., after which participants will return to Songbird Station to enjoy coffee and donuts together.

👟 Waterproof shoes recommended but not required
🐦 Beginners welcome

The event is free and open to anyone who enjoys birds, nature, and spending time outdoors.
