Columbia’s Gold Star Memorial Day Parade is returning for its second year to honor fallen service members and Gold Star families.
The parade will take place on Monday, May 25, 2026, in downtown Columbia beginning at 10 a.m. A Gold Star wreath-laying ceremony at the Boone County Courthouse Memorial Plaza will follow the parade.
Organizers say the community event is designed to remember and recognize those who gave their lives in military service while bringing residents together for Memorial Day observances.
The group is currently seeking parade entries, volunteers, corporate sponsors, and private donations ahead of the event. Parade entries must be submitted by May 1, 2026.
A rain date has been scheduled for Saturday, May 30, if needed.
