ACG Hospice Looking for Columbia Quilters and Crafters to Help Patients and Families

Local quilters and crafters have a chance to put their creativity to work for a meaningful cause. ACG Hospice is looking for crafting volunteers in Columbia, Missouri, to make handmade items that can bring comfort to hospice patients and their families.

Individuals are welcome to participate, along with quilting circles, sewing groups and other local crafting groups.

What Volunteers Can Make

ACG Hospice is currently looking for volunteers to help create several types of handmade items, including:

  • Quilts and blankets
  • Fidget quilts or blankets
  • Memory pillows
  • Memory bears made from a loved one’s clothing

The finished pieces can serve different purposes, from providing patients with something warm and comforting to creating keepsakes that families can hold onto.

You Don’t Have to Craft Alone

This volunteer opportunity could be a good fit for an individual crafter, but ACG Hospice is also inviting established quilting circles and crafting groups to get involved.

There isn’t a specific event date or deadline listed, so those interested can reach out to learn more about current needs and how to participate.
