Don’t toss those leftover Halloween pumpkins! The Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture (CCUA) is inviting the community to put them to good use during a free Pumpkin Smash event on Saturday, November 7.
Taking place near the ARC during the Columbia Farmers Market, this event gives families a chance to smash their old pumpkins using baseball bats, catapults, and other pumpkin-smashing tools. It’s a fun way to get rid of those jack-o’-lanterns while helping turn leftover pumpkins into compost.
Have a pumpkin sitting on your porch? Bring it along! Everyone is welcome to stop by and join the smashing fun.
Kids and adults alike can enjoy getting their hands dirty while giving those pumpkins one last purpose.
