Patriot Day Wreath-Laying Ceremony

The University of Missouri and the City of Columbia will come together on Friday, September 11, for a Patriot Day wreath-laying ceremony honoring those who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. at Traditions Plaza on the Carnahan Quadrangle. The community is invited to attend, and there is no cost to participate.

Remembering September 11

Patriot Day is observed each year as a national day of remembrance for the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives in the attacks on September 11, 2001.

A wreath will be laid as part of the observance.
