This interactive museum event invites children to discover how countries near and far celebrate the season with unique customs, decorations, and treats. Through firsthand activities, storytelling, and crafts, young travelers will experience the magic of Christmas from a global perspective.
Creative Activities For Kids:
-Germany: Decorate paper gingerbread ornaments and then create a beautiful Froebel Star
-Sweden: Create a paper St. Lucia crown, decorating it with “candles” made from paper
-Mexico: Make a mini–piñata ornament filled with confetti
-Japan: Create Origami Cranes and then fold and cut a Kirigami Cage Christmas Trees (Origami cranes are a symbol of peace and are often included in Japanese holiday decorations)
-African: Kente Paper Weaving
-Australian: Make Seashell Ornaments
-English: Create Christmas Crackers
