Concert in the Gardens by Windjammers Unlimited

Circus music fans from across the country are heading to Columbia this summer for a one-of-a-kind event 🎺🎪

Windjammers Unlimited, the international circus music historical society, is hosting its 2026 Summer Meet in Columbia from June 24–29. The multi-day gathering celebrates the preservation and performance of classic circus music with concerts, educational presentations, and opportunities for musicians and spectators alike.

One of the biggest public events will be a free “Concert in the Gardens” performance at Shelter Gardens on June 28 from 6–8 p.m., featuring what organizers call “The World’s Largest Circus Band.” Free face painting will also be available during the event.

Visitors can attend performances, educational sessions, and special presentations throughout the week, including a talk titled “The Circus in Your Music Library” at Jesse Auditorium. Musicians also have the chance to participate in a mass band finale performance.
