Looking to bring fresh, locally grown food to your Thanksgiving table? The Columbia Farmers Market is hosting a special Thanksgiving Market on Tuesday, November 24, giving shoppers a chance to stock up on holiday ingredients while supporting farmers and artisans from across mid-Missouri.
The market will run from 3 to 5 p.m. and feature a variety of locally produced goods, including fresh produce, meats, farm-fresh eggs, cheeses, honey, and handcrafted artisan items. Whether you’re planning a full Thanksgiving feast or just need a few finishing touches, it’s an opportunity to shop local before the holiday.
Families planning to serve turkey can also preorder a locally raised bird from Hedge Holler Harvest, LLC, or Penny Hollow Poultry. Preordering ahead of time is a great way to plan your holiday meal while supporting regional farms.
The Thanksgiving Market will also feature a cooking demonstration with a local chef, offering inspiration for preparing seasonal ingredients.
SNAP payments will be accepted, and SNAP and WIC matching benefits will be available to help make fresh, locally grown food more accessible.
