Ragtag Cinema is bringing back Bleak Week: Cinema of Despair, a unique film festival dedicated to thought-provoking, emotionally powerful movies that explore some of humanity’s darkest stories and most challenging themes.
Presented in partnership with the American Cinematheque, the annual festival has grown into an international event, with theaters across North America, the United Kingdom, and Latin America showcasing carefully curated films known for their artistic impact, emotional depth, and unflinching storytelling.
This year’s Columbia lineup features six acclaimed films from around the world, ranging from psychological dramas and historical tragedies to cult classics and cinematic masterpieces.

Attendees can also participate in the festival punch card challenge. Watch three films and receive a free popcorn voucher. Attend all six films and you’ll earn both a free popcorn voucher and a free movie ticket voucher after the festival concludes.
