You Grow Girl! An Educational Puberty Event for Girls Ages 11-13

Navigating growing up can feel overwhelming—but this event is designed to make it a little easier, more comfortable, and a lot more empowering.

“You Grow Girl!” is an educational event created for girls ages 11–13, offering a safe, supportive space to learn about the physical and emotional changes that come with puberty. Hosted by the University of Missouri School of Medicine and the American Medical Women’s Association, this program brings together trusted professionals to guide the conversation in an age-appropriate and approachable way.

Led by pediatricians, dietitians, and psychologists, the event focuses on helping girls better understand their bodies, ask questions, and feel more confident as they navigate this stage of life. It’s informative without being overwhelming, and supportive without being intimidating—making it a great experience for both kids and parents.
