Free Open Gym Nights at United Community Builders Recreation Center

Looking for a place to play basketball, stay active, and meet new people? United Community Builders (UCB) is hosting Free Open Gym nights in Columbia, giving players of all ages and skill levels a chance to hit the court in a positive, supervised environment.

Whether you’re looking to sharpen your game, enjoy some friendly competition, or simply stay active, everyone is welcome.

Event Details

  • When: The first two Mondays of every month
  • Time: 6:15 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Location: UCB Recreation Center, 1801 Towne Drive, Columbia, MO 65201
  • Admission: Free
  • Check-In: All participants should sign in at the front door upon arrival.

Who Can Participate?

Open Gym welcomes:

  • Boys and girls
  • All ages
  • All skill levels

While basketball is the featured activity, the recreation center also encourages participation in other sports and recreational activities throughout the year.

Open Gym Rules

To help ensure a positive experience for everyone, participants are asked to:

  • Respect players, staff, and the facility.
  • Use positive language—no profanity or negative talk.
  • Avoid hanging on the basketball rims.
  • Keep games moving so everyone has an opportunity to play.
  • Clean up after themselves and leave the facility better than they found it.
