A favorite Columbia holiday tradition is making an unexpected comeback! Veterans United Home Loans has announced that its popular drive-through Christmas light display will return in December 2026, despite previously announcing that the 2025 season would be its last.
The free holiday attraction first began during the COVID-19 pandemic and quickly became a seasonal favorite for families throughout Mid-Missouri. Since its debut, approximately 100,000 vehicles have driven through the festive light display.
In November 2025, Veterans United announced plans to discontinue the event because of nearby development and increasing traffic concerns. However, the company shared that it had worked through the logistical challenges and would bring the lights back for another holiday season.
The 2026 display will welcome the public December 10–20, with extended evening hours on weekends. As in previous years, admission is completely free, and reservations are not required.
