A new place to shop for holiday decorations and home decor is opening in Columbia just in time for fall. The Fifth Season Decor will celebrate the grand opening of its new storefront in the Broadway Shopping Center beginning Friday, Sept. 4.
The locally owned shop will carry seasonal favorites throughout the year along with home decor, gifts, party supplies and plenty of Mizzou items.
Grand Opening Details
- Friday, Sept. 4: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Saturday, Sept. 5: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

A Store for Every Season
Despite the name, The Fifth Season isn’t only about Christmas. The store will change with the seasons, offering decorations like pumpkins in the fall, Christmas trees during the holidays and Easter decor in the spring.
Shoppers will also find plenty of year-round items, including tableware, throw blankets, pillows, candles, and kitchen towels.
The selection will also include party and gift supplies, with table runners, tablecloths, garden flags, gift wrap, cards, birthday decorations, and Mizzou-themed items among the planned offerings.
Grand Opening Weekend Extras
Visitors who stop by during opening weekend can take advantage of special deals and enter door prize drawings.
The first 50 customers will also receive a free tote bag filled with goodies, so anyone hoping to snag one may want to arrive early on Friday.
The Fifth Season Decor opens at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at 1729 W. Broadway, Suite 4, in Columbia’s Broadway Shopping Center.
