Meals on Wheels of Columbia is celebrating a new partnership with the Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture (CCUA), along with its 54th birthday, and the community is invited to join the celebration!
A special ribbon-cutting ceremony, hosted through the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, will take place on Wednesday, November 4, at noon at the Welcome Center in Columbia’s Agriculture Park.
Visitors can tour the new Welcome Center, where Chef Beth of Thompson Tables and her team prepare meals for Meals on Wheels clients. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase and sample a meal, enjoy snacks and birthday cake, and learn more about volunteer opportunities with both organizations.
The celebration is a chance to see how these local nonprofits are working together, meet the people behind their missions, and discover ways to get involved in the community.
