A familiar piece of Columbia’s North Central neighborhood is getting some fresh color, and the community is invited to help make it happen.
Project rePAINT will bring neighbors together at Field Park on Oct. 17 and 18 to repaint the existing mural. Mural artist Adrienne Luther Johnson will guide participants as they refresh the original images and add a few new faces and words to the artwork.

Help Repaint a Piece of the Neighborhood
No need to bring painting supplies. Paint, brushes, rollers, scaffolding and other necessities are being provided through community support, including donations from Columbia Parks and Recreation and Grove Construction.
Participants should bring their own snacks and drinks and wear clothes suitable for painting and sun protection. Activities and music will also be part of the weekend.
Organizers are separately working to raise $1,000 for an artist fund to thank Adrienne Luther Johnson for her time and talent by organizing a costume jewelry sale happening on October 10th.
Project rePAINT is open to neighbors who want to lend a hand and help give the Field Park mural a colorful new chapter.
