Coffee and tea lovers have a reason to spend the day exploring downtown Columbia this fall. Caffeine Crawl Columbia returns Saturday, October 17, bringing a guided tasting experience to local coffee shops, tea spots and other craft beverage businesses throughout The District.
This marks the seventh year Caffeine Crawl has teamed up with The District for the Columbia event.

How Does a Caffeine Crawl Work?
This isn’t simply a trip from coffee shop to coffee shop. Each stop includes a featured sample drink or drinks along with a chance to learn more about what goes into making them.
Depending on the stop, participants may experience demonstrations, presentations or conversations with baristas, shop owners, roasters and other beverage professionals.
There’s also time to browse, ask questions and learn more about the businesses along the route.
Columbia Businesses Participating
The 2026 Columbia Caffeine Crawl lineup includes several familiar local favorites along with a few stops you might not immediately associate with a coffee crawl:
- Acola Coffee
- Bubblecup Tea Zone
- Camacho Coffee
- Clementine’s Ice Cream
- Fretboard Coffee
- Hexagon Alley
- Shortwave Coffee
- Wilder Coffeehouse at The Tiger Hotel
- Wynnsome Cake & Tea
With four different routes available, the exact businesses and experiences will depend on which route you select.
A Walkable Way to Explore Downtown Columbia
One of the perks of Columbia’s Caffeine Crawl is that you can leave the car behind once your route begins. Each route is less than a mile and designed to be explored on foot or by bike through downtown.
You don’t have to be a coffee expert, either. The event is designed for everyone from serious specialty-coffee fans to tea drinkers and people who simply enjoy discovering local businesses.
Tickets are limited, and organizers note that Columbia routes have sold out in previous years, so those interested in attending may want to choose their route early.
