Dinosaurs at a grand opening? That’ll get some attention.
The Thompson Center is adding a fun twist to its Grand Opening on May 8 with a special appearance from Iggy the T-Rex, brought in by St. Louis Dinosaur. (feature image not the actual dinosaur that will be at the event) If you’ve got kids (or just like dinosaurs), this is one of those quick stops worth making.
Iggy is set to appear around 11:30 a.m., and it’s more than just a photo op. There will also be fossil activities and interactive moments throughout the event, making it feel more like a mini experience than just a quick meet-and-greet.
The event is supported by SPARK for Autism, and the day’s focus is celebrating the Thompson Center and the work happening there.
It’s free to attend, but you’re encouraged to register ahead of time so they know how many people to expect.
